CLEVELAND, Ohio – Single-use plastic bags – the kind some stores still use to bag groceries and other items at checkout – have become a scourge to society.
They either wind up in the trash and then sent to a landfill, or worse, they are placed in recycling bins only to contaminate the whole load because plastic bags, you see, can gum up the works at sorting facilities.
